SPORTS: Nestor a champion on home court
Daniel Nestor is a champion once more.
North York's Nestor, playing with doubles partner Nenad Zimonjic, posted a 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 victory over the American pairing Mike and Bob Bryan in the final of the Rogers Cup held at York University July 27.
Nestor, coming off a Wimbledon title run earlier this month with Zimonjic to complete the career grand slam (titles in all four major tournaments), had previously won the Canadian tournament's doubles title back in 2000 with then-partner Sebastien Laureau.
