A word of thanks to everyone who chose to fight city hall and won the battle over more taxation, more government and less money for those who earn it.

This battle may be over, but make no mistake, the war rages on. If nothing else, I hope the honest, hardworking, non-unionized, non-government funded people of this city have finally awoken from their long municipal slumber and are finally paying attention to what is happening at city hall.

This is your money at work. You pay more and more of your hard-earned money through ever increasing taxes and user fees that do little, except increase the revenues of the government.

It's time we permanently reduced the size of government, reduced its costs and make it harder for your wallet to be sucked dry of its hard-earned contents. A small battle has been won, but the war continues. Let's not stop fighting.
